Slamat is a Sparkman and Stephens design Sagitta 35 yacht built in Denmark by Bianca yachts in 1974

She was originally commissioned in the UK but has since spent time under a Dutch flag before coming back to home waters.

In March 2018 Slamat was awarded the Founders Cup by the Royal Cruising Club (RCC) for the passage and the log apperas in Roving Commissions 58

We sold our old boat Pegasus in 2014 and had been looking for something smaller to allow us to spend time together sailing the cruising grounds of the Europe and beyond.

We found Slamat in may 2016 while looking for a Sparkman 34 ft. We needed a good design and a stiff boat that could take us far and wide. I wanted a tiller helm again after many years sailing with a wheel, and so the Sagitta 35 design looked perfect. In truth you could say Slamat found us!

After looking around we found a good looking example and purchased her from her Dutch owners. Early July saw us sailing from Breskens to Cowes and spending some exciting time on board getting used to a monomaran again. Winter 2016 /17 saw an extensive refit and modification detailed on other pages and in early May 2017 she was back in the water.... Ready.
